The last hooray (33 months)

We are welcoming baby Kermit into our family tomorrow! So, this week, Jack got to enjoy some of his favorite activities. Today was all Jack's picks: making & eating pumpkin muffins, swimming at the "cool pool" (Palo Alto JCC with slides etc.), grilled cheese lunch at Dinah's, crepes dinner with G&G, N&P, and Aunt Emily at Ti Couz (including his own dessert crepe with chocolate sauce and ice cream) and seeing "the whole city in lights".

A different kind of Giants (30 months)

We took Jack to a SAN JOSE Giants (minor league) game a couple weeks ago. He loved the ball game, bouncy house/slide, pitching and hitting games, but what Jack is still talking about is their mascot, Gigante!

Trains & Conifers (28 months)

Fun day at Roaring Camp Railroad near Santa Cruz. We rode a train through the redwoods with his friends Alex & Baby Izzy!

Giants! (27 months)

Jack went to his 1st Giants game of the season. His friend, Alex, (below) was kind enough to invite us to a luxury suite that we had all to ourselves! As you can see, the highlights were churros and "playing" baseball.

Back Seat Driver (27 months)

We recently made a trip to the Oakland Zoo. While Jack enjoyed the animals, the highlight was the rides! His fav was the car ride & he insisted on sitting in the back!

Planes, Trains, and Jack (24 months)

I think Jack's first love is still trains, but he had a great time visiting the Hiller Aviation museum where he could press all the buttons & climb in the planes. The steam train in Tilden Park is still a favorite too!

Jack on the power play! (23 months)

Jack insisted on trying out his ice skating skills today in Union Square. Not many kids under the age of 2 get a rink to themselves on a 70 degree day in January!

Trains and Up Downs (22 months)

Jack's current love is trains & even more specifically, "up downs" (crossing arms). So, we took Caltrain down to Palo Alto and Jack got to see about 30 up downs on the trip.

Batty Halloween (21 months)

I think it is safe to say that Jack is a big fan of Halloween. He loved wearing his Bat costume to 3 parties and has discovered a new love of candy (which, he didn't know existed & had never said the word before 10/31). After a party with all his neighborhood friends at our house, we took the kids to Fair Oaks St. for some trick-or-treating. Jack only made it to a few houses though because after each one, he would just start yelling "candy, eat it, open!".

Jack's Favs (20 months)

If you asked Jack what his favorite activities are, he would definitely tell you eating ice cream (or "azoo" as he says) and riding trains (or "choo choo"). Some other favs include tacos, the color orange, cooking (especially dough), cake, dogs, cats, jumping (well, trying), and playgrounds.

Jack tried to convince me to buy an ice cream cake from the display, but he settled for gelato

Halloween Countdown (8 months)

With Halloween around the corner, Jack has been checking out pumpkins & trying out costumes!

Celebrating 7 Months Renaissance Style (7 months)

At Doug's request, we celebrated Jack's 7 month birthday on Saturday at the SF Renaissance Festival in Golden Gate Park!

Merry Go Round Take 2 (6 months)

Jack enjoyed his second Merry Go Round adventure even more than his first! Was it because Papa Jerry was there? Or, was it because he did some research on how to get the most out of the ride checking out the miniature carnival in a window on 24th St. in Noe Valley?

Eyes and Teeth! (5 months)

July has started out very exciting for Jack! Jack's tear duct officially cleared up on the 4th of July! He then woke up a few days later with his first tooth (while Dad was at a wedding in Maui)! Here he is enjoying the 4th of July at Dolores Park. Also, his last official toothless grin on our way to the Noe farmer's market on July 7th!

On the Towne (24 Days Old)

Jack and Mom are really doing great. Over the last couple days, Jack has been hitting the town (he's pretty into 24th Street, but no so fond of the South Van Ness post office). Look, he actually got to wear outfits that weren't pajamas!
